i got also the same article a day after it was published.
It was sent by a friend, after reading the article everything flashed back to me parang balang tumagos sa isip at puso ko. naisip ko never ko nagawang bantayan ang parents ko habang natutulog sila kahit may sakit sila di ko sila binabantayan.
bumalik sakin yung times na pag may sakit ako nakikita ko si papa nagbabantay kung bababa ba yung lagnat ko, si mama will keep her eye on the clock para makainom ako ng gamot sa oras. pero as years passed by kahit one time lang di ko sila inalagaan o binantayan.

(share ko lang)
My father was a soldier and musician, nakita ko yung hirap niya para lang mabigay yung kailangan namin. Yung Mother ko I remember nung naassign si papa sa mindanao, umiiyak sya kasi wala na siyang mautangan para lang mapakain samin.naubos na kasi yung pera namin na panggastos, isa pa buntis si mama nung time na yun, i was 8 nung time na yun nakita ko nakunan si mama. umiiyak siya sobrang sakit ng naramdaman ko sa puso ko nung makita ko si mama umiiyak.nung time na yun walng sinabi samin si mama. di man lang sya nagshare nung nararamdaman niya.(if ever tayo di ba lalo na bata pa tayo everytime nasusugatan tayo o nasasaktan mama natin una nating tinatawag). naisip ko sila mama at papa sa dami ng paghihirap di ko alam how will i ever pay them back.My father keeps on saying na as parents di natatapos ang obligation nila once na we have our own family. .
lumilipas ang panahon pare pareho tayo magiging magulang kaya sana bawat isa satin magsimulang iparamdam at ipakita sa magulang natin how much we love and respect them.

Salamat, Alex!

It's been very rewarding taking that step forward.
One of the most important lessons I learned in this experience is this: "Ask".

I'm already preparing for our next meeting by taking notes on things I want to ask him ;-) .

Again, thank you Alex for the encouragement to find my 5-star mentor.

Mabuhay!

After re-reading this, I am blown away again with joy that your follow-through action from our workshop yielded such high quality results in so short a time! Don't lose sight of the fact that you were blessed to have had that opportunity with Mr Halili. He, I'm sure, felt very good that he was sought after as a mentor. Leaders like him need self-validation just like you and me and being sought after as a mentor is huge. What you did very well was to be prepared with critical questions and more. The questions focussed the conversation and showed commitment and capacity on your part, not to mention the effect on maximizing Mr Halili's time.I'm sure this did not escape his attention. Continue being the kind of "mentee" a mentor would enjoy mentoring---enthusiastic to learn, dilligent in preparation and mindful of time utilization. Congratulations again Edwin and take care.
